My Story

I love writing.

In kindergarten, I wrote summaries of pictures books I enjoyed. In middle school, I carried around my collaged notebook filled with poems and spooky stories. And in high school, I turned to journal writing and personal reflection. 

It wasn't until I attended The Ohio State University that I realized the power of journalism: relaying the timely stories of others in hopes of sparking positive change. I'm fortunate to have my work published in several Central Ohio publications and online. My dedication to the field also resulted in an editor's position where I simultaneously managed three publications for CityScene Media Group.

I'm now based in Tampa, Florida, and work for Kerby's Nursery and its online store, The Kerby's Houseplant Shop. I manage its five social media platforms and continue to expand my journalism skills. I love watching and helping these businesses (literally) grow, but I can't wait for what's next.
