While growing up in Ohio, I worked at a local nursery and always helped my mother with her immaculate garden. Unfortunately, the planting, growing, and harvesting season in Ohio is short-lived. But when I moved to Florida, I had a realization... why not incorporate my journalism experience with my love for plants since you can garden year-round in Central Florida.
I currently work at Kerby's Nursery as the social media manager. I write, edit and create videos, capture photos of pollinators and beautiful plants, create digital training material, assist with events, and more.
It's thrilling to help the business grow (literally) and I'm excited to see where this journey goes.
Social Media Accounts
Kerby's Nursery
Education, inspiration, and fun are the three pillars of our social media accounts. I oversee all the content on our Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. I write scripts, edit videos, capture photos, answer questions, oversee giveaways, and do anything else to keep our online presence up-to-date.
Within a year, I raised the Instragam presence of the Nursery by 62 percent and recently launched our TikTok account at the end of 2022, which surpassed 1K followers within a few months.
Apart from our social media, I also created several training videos for our staff and seminars for customers. Additionally, I captured all the photos seen on our site, www.kerbysnursery.com.
